The Layout
The entrance is on the south façade and opens into the open living and kitchen space, which takes the western half of the plan. The kitchen run — fridge, counter, sink and a second counter — lines the spine wall and faces back into the room, so the whole west side stays free for living: a sofa along the north wall, a coffee table and a TV bench opposite it, and a dining table with four chairs at the wide west window. Behind the spine wall the plan splits in two: a 4.4 m² shower room in the north-east corner, reached from the living space and lit by a high-level window for privacy, and an 8.6 m² bedroom in the south-east corner with its own door, a double bed flanked by two nightstands, a wardrobe and a window facing east. Keeping the kitchen and bathroom plumbing on one shared spine wall is what makes a building this small practical to build.
