Search the help centre as you type
The help centre is 49 pages now, which is more than a list is good at. There is a search box in the hero and on every page's topic rail: type and the matching pages appear underneath with the sentence that matched, and where one section of a page is the answer the result goes straight to it. Press / anywhere in the help centre to jump to it.
The help centre →Combine drawn shapes: union, subtract, intersect, exclude
Select two or more closed shapes and the panel offers four ways to make one out of them. The first shape you pick is the subject and the result keeps its colours; a cut that lands wholly inside leaves a real hole. Curves survive: subtract a rectangle from a circle and the arc comes back as an arc with a handle on it, not as two dozen straight facets.

Lines, arcs and shapes now snap to other drawn shapes the way they always snapped to walls — ends, midpoints, edges, a circle's centre — and to the outline you are drawing right now. Three sides of a rectangle in, the fourth corner lines up with the first and closes on it exactly.

A deck is now built as separate boards with a drainage gap between them — 5 mm by default, set per deck — so decking reads as decking in the Clay and Shaded views, which draw no linework. Railing posts stand on the deck instead of straddling its edge, in the plan and in 3D, and the elevations now draw the railing only along the edges that actually carry one.

Shift-click in the 3D view adds to the selection and clicking again drops it. Drag the handles and everything selected moves as one, keeping its spacing exactly.

The wheel now zooms towards the cursor rather than towards the middle of the building. Panning stays usable all the way in — before, the closer you zoomed the less a drag moved, until getting across a room took a dozen of them.

A switch in the Export dialog gives you the drawing alone on the page — same paper, same ratio, no border, no title block, no scale bar — for a drawing that goes into someone else's sheet or a slide. On by default, and the page previews show exactly what you will get.

Two new garden items — a pot with flowers and a planter trough — that you put down on something rather than plant in the ground. Fixing that fixed a wider fault: anything on a terrace, a chair or a table as much as a pot, now stands on the deck boards instead of hovering the deck's step above them.

A patio door or a sill-height window put its frame in exactly the plane of the floor, and the two shimmered against each other as the camera moved. The joinery now clears the slab.
Cars, motorcycles and bicycles
A Vehicles section in the catalog: a sedan, an SUV, a sports car, a motorcycle and a bicycle — proper top-view symbols in plan, and real shapes in 3D with sloped hoods, raked windshields and a diamond-framed bike. A vehicle knows what it stands on: parked in the garage it sits on the slab, dragged out onto the drive it settles on the ground by itself. And the plan check still speaks up when the garage is shorter than the car.

A stove can now be a freestanding cooker with its oven door drawn on the front, a hob alone in the worktop with the oven elsewhere, or a hob with a built-under oven beneath the counter — the commonest fitted kitchen. One click in the panel switches between them, and every kitchen rule keeps working whichever form you pick.

Import a plan as an image or a PDF, calibrate it, and Detect walls (experimental) proposes the walls it can read — you review each candidate before it becomes an ordinary, editable wall, all in one undo step. A vector PDF is read as geometry directly, doors and windows included, and the plot scale works itself out from the drawing's own dimensions.

A new sketch arc gesture that works the way arcs are actually drawn: click the centre, set the radius, sweep the angle — with typed values honoured at every stage and Escape stepping back one point instead of abandoning the arc. Exported arcs are now true curves in the PDF rather than chains of short lines, so a reader's measuring tools can find them.
A furniture group drags as one body
Drag several selected pieces together and the one under your cursor snaps to walls, corners and neighbouring furniture the way a single piece does — and the whole group shifts with it, keeping every spacing. A kitchen run finally slides into the corner as a run.
Dimension lines land where the preview shows
Placing a dimension line commits the exact offset the drag was previewing — it used to land a few millimetres off the snapped position, so a line you placed at 500 could read 482.

Bifold and double-acting doors, sliding windows
Three more ways an opening can move. A bifold folds its leaves back against one jamb. A double-acting door swings both ways on spring hinges — the one between a restaurant kitchen and its dining room — and the plan check keeps the floor clear on both sides of it, not just the side it is drawn on. And a window can now slide: two sashes on parallel tracks, drawn as offset panels in plan, sliding rather than swinging in 3D.

Flip one setting and the whole app speaks imperial: type 12'6 while drawing, dimensions read 12'-6" and areas in sq ft, doors place at 36" × 6'-8", the grid snaps on a true 1" module, and the PDF export offers Letter, Tabloid and ARCH sheets at the architect's scales — 1/4" = 1'-0" named in every title block, with a feet scale bar. The drawing itself stays millimetre-exact underneath, so metric plans are untouched and either system can type the other's units.

Twelve new catalog items for offices, shops and warehouses: round meeting table, office chair, copier, urinal, a toilet-cubicle run you set the stall count on, snack and drinks vending machines, water cooler, drinking fountain, bottle filler, and pallets that stack — pick how many high and the plan marks the stack. The catalog is regrouped, with Work & office and Commercial sections and dining beside Living, and the picker now remembers your search, scroll position and last-placed item.

Select a room and the panel reads out the wall surface enclosing it — what you order paint, plaster or tiles against, with the doors and windows already taken off. Every room is listed together on the Rooms table, and both areas print on the room schedule sheet.

A freestanding island with the worktop over its whole top and, if you want one, a breakfast bar: pick the seating side and the slab runs past the carcass over knee space. Dishwasher, wine-cooler and oven fronts sit along the working face, each at the position you type.

The fridge can hide in a tall housing behind furniture doors, the stove can be a hob set into the worktop, and a built-in oven, an under-counter wine cooler and a full-height larder cabinet join the catalog — the wine cooler also fits inside the tall cabinet, behind its own glass door.

Counters, wall cabinets and tall cabinets choose their front — furniture doors, glass doors or open shelving. The shelves behind are real boards on even spacing, so a glass or open unit shows a cabinet, not a void.
Resizing behaves like real casework
Height and “Above floor” now edit independently, so a wall cabinet can be any size at any mounting height. Stretching a unit no longer thickens its worktop, plinth or handles, and deepening something that stands against a wall grows it into the room, not into the wall.

The floor chips became a single button: its menu lists every storey top-first with its level, the four ways to add one and the trace-over picker, so the top bar keeps its width however tall the building. PageUp and PageDown switch storeys from the keyboard.

The sketch tool draws triangles and upright crosses with the same two-corner drag as rectangles — and they commit as ordinary paths, so every vertex can be dragged afterwards. The toolbar gains plus and minus next to Fit, for zooming without a wheel or a trackpad gesture.

Doors and windows now share one width limit, and it is 6 m. A full-width sliding glass wall or a double garage door is a single opening instead of two cutouts placed side by side.

Instead of a half-landing, a U staircase can turn on three tapered treads fanning from the newel — the stair rises continuously and the same storey fits into a shorter footprint. Landing stays the default, so plans drawn before today are unchanged.

Standing, seated and wheelchair figures for checking the space around a counter, a basin or a passage; the wheelchair carries a dashed 1500 mm turning circle. They snap to nothing and the plan check ignores them, so they stay exactly where you put them, and they have their own layer to switch off for a permit set.

Named insulation and board products with the thermal conductivity their manufacturer declares, and a link to the document that declares it. Pick a product for a layer of a build-up and the U-value follows it.
