Select a room — one with a name, because the name is what tells the assistant whether it is a kitchen or a bedroom — and press ✨ Furnish room in the properties panel. Furniture is placed to suit the room’s size and shape, backed onto the walls where it belongs.
Furnishing is a Pro feature.
Two ways it can answer
The button reports which one you got:
- Standard layout — the placement engine working from the room’s shape, doors and windows. It costs no credits.
- AI layout (2 credits) — used when the room needs judgement the rules do not cover.
Either way it tells you how many items it placed, and ⌘Z undoes the lot in one step if you do not like it.
Name rooms first
A room called Living is furnished as a living room; an unnamed one has nothing to go on. Name the areas before you furnish, and you get a plan you can read rather than a scattering of boxes.
When nothing happens
“Nothing fits — the room may be too tight or already furnished.” That is an answer, not a failure: a 4 m² bedroom does not get a bed jammed into it. Make the room bigger, or clear what is in it, and try again.
Then check it
Furnishing places; the plan check judges. Run through the findings afterwards — clearances, door swings, a bed under a window — and use Fix on the ones the editor can settle itself. Dropping a scale figure into the result is the fastest way to see whether the gaps are really usable.
What this doesn’t do
- It does not design the plan. It furnishes rooms you have drawn. Generating a layout from scratch is a separate Pro feature — describe your home in a brief and get a plan.
- No style or brand choice. The catalog is the catalog; there is no “make it Scandinavian”.
- It will not move walls. The room is taken as drawn.
