Furniture & finishes

Place furniture at real sizes, choose floor, wall and furniture finishes, and coordinate them with room kits and finish schemes.

Placing furniture from the catalog

Press O for furnishing and C for structure, pick an item from the thumbnail picker, click to place. Items that habitually back onto a wall align themselves flush when dropped near one.

Choose finishes for a room's floor, walls and furniture

In the Finishes activity, click a room's floor, one wall face or one part of a piece of furniture, then choose a material for it. Finishing one surface at a time is free and needs no account.

Apply a coordinated room kit, or save your own
Free to browse · Pro to preview, apply and save

A room kit sets a room's floor, walls, cabinet fronts, worktops, taps and furniture finishes together. Browse the three kits free; with Pro, preview one on the rooms you choose, apply it in one step you can undo, and save the finishes of your own rooms as kits to reuse.

Save finish schemes and compare finish alternatives
Pro to save, preview, apply and compare · free to look at, rename and delete

Save the finishes of your project, or of chosen rooms, as a named finish scheme. With Pro, preview a scheme with every change listed, compare it side by side with the current finishes, and apply it in one step you can undo.

Checking clearances with a scale figure

Place a standing, seated or wheelchair figure from the People category to see how much room a person really has at a counter, a basin or in a passage. The wheelchair carries a dashed 1500 mm turning circle.

How do I lay out the lights in a room?

Select a room and click Lighting layout. Pick a downlight, ceiling light or pendant, set the maximum spacing, the edge margin and the mounting height, watch the count update on the canvas, then Create. The room owns the layout from then on.
